im looking for a 1stgen teg. and i was wandering which trim to get, im thinking the rs cause of less luxury options and it might have less weight. also what kinda engine can i swap into the 1st gen teg? can i swap in a b18a? if so can u guys refer me to some sites that have some tegs with this swap done. what do u guys think of this project? also will 2ndgen suspension parts fit ona 1st gen. like springs/struts. also what is the bolt pattern for them? are they still 4x100?

does not use front springs, it has torsion bars, which you can adjust manually. i've only heard of b16 swap, not sure bout a b18, dont think it would fit.
