*New Development*

I can order a new one, that's direct from Honda of Japan, already Championship White for $3100. Complete JDM Front, with everything required to convert.

Or I can take this used one for $1500, that's not painted Championship White. Complete JDM Front, with everything required to convert.

Any suggestions?

just get the used one because it is more than likely that the brand new one will be damaged.
edit: sorry, i may have been vague when i said that the new JDM front may be damaged. i meant that it may be damaged being shipped. therefore, it would defeat the purpose of buying a painted front if you are going to have to paint it again.

OK, so I got my hands on a '98 spec HID Front End. It's not Champ White, so, I'll need it re-painted (probably do this before I get it put on).

Now for the real question. It doesn't seem hard to take the front bumper, and front fenders off, but is it difficult to put the JDM ones on, that alone wire the marker on the side fenders to the turn signals? Furthermore, the HID lamps (ballast?) fitment? Has anyone done this themselves, or is it recommended to take it to some kind of body shop? Anyone in So. Cal no a good body shop to take it to?

I don't understand you question. Did you install your radiator support yet? Maybe I'm missing some of your info. Honda-Tech has some great write-ups on the wiring. I suggest you look there first. Do a search.

nothing's been installed, it's all sitting in my dining room.

(man, college life sucks, you go paycheck to paycheck, and spend all your money on your car).

I would make sure you get an OEM kit and not one of the those fiberglass kits.

If anyone wants it....my friend has a JDM Type-R front end (non-HID) in his extra room and is not using it. It is located in Indiana, and no, I do not have pics. If anyone is seriously interested let me know. I was going to put it on my GS-R but decided not to.
