Default Radio Malfunction

The radio in my 94 integra has a mind of its own lately. The volume simply cuts out at random. But, the digital display remains lit up as if the radio is "ON".
Does anyone have any suggestions on how this could be fixed?

Just replace it with a aftermarket unit or you can buy my old head unit.

sounds like a bad ground to me.

i had a bad ground wtih my Rockford Fosgate deck and it would be fully operational but no sound would go to the speakers as if they werent even plugged in (no static noise either)

to remedy it, i got an RCA cable from the stereo shop, cut one end off and plugged them into my RCA outs and grounded it, it worked 100% after that.

i know you dont have RCA's on your stock deck but if you ground the body of the headunit to anything metal under the dash, it should fix it IF its a bad ground. give it a try, it will only take a few minutes.

Hey i actually have that problem. If i was to make a hard sharp LEFT turn then all my speakers would go out but the head unit still functioned correctly. I would hit a few bumps on purpose and the speakers would come back on. Now i have a amp hooked up to my radio. So i cant do the RCA suggestion you have. Do you have any other ideas. This thread rocks cus i had that problem but i aint wanna post a thread cus yall would call me :ghey: and flame me forever.
