Default POS mileage...

about 220-230 mp/tank ugh... :ghey:

Did the wires / cap / rotor not long ago
Clean K&N air filter

Not sure what to replace... could the fuel filter affect that much? I bought the filter a while ago but dont have the wrenches to replace it...

Things that are probably giving you bad mileage:
-old spark plugs
-valves need adjustment
-bad bearings

I would also do a compression and leakdown test on your engine, just so you can know its running good, not burning oil, etc..

You mean valve leash adjustment? How often do i need to do that? It looks like a pain.

Whats "bad bearings"? Thx...

Valve lash is hydraulically self-adjusted on the non-VTEC B series motors. If you've got a VTEC B-series the valve lash is adjusted mechanically, and manually re-adjusing it is part of the maintenance schedule.

Also, when you're saying you get 230ish miles per tank: Is that 230 miles on 13 gallons of fuel, or is it 230 miles on >10 gallons of fuel (which is enough to make the low fuel warning light go on.) h:

Big difference between 17mpg and 23mpg. There have been times when I'm down in the low 20s... but if you're only in the teens, then you've got something to worry about IMO. :dunno:

Dang...I usually get 250 per tank. But I've gone as low as 215 and as high as 285. This tank, I am really limiting myself to using my heavy foot. h:

i just had my whole motor cleaned when i got my teg...b4 i got it cleaned i got like 220's and now i get in the upper 200's most of the time...if not more...plus...try shifting into gears alot sooner than you usually do...when i first got my exhaust i just loved over revving it to hear the v-tech and what not...but just try shifting sooner and it will get you better gas mileage...thats what oyu can do yourself...

have fun with your teg...LATER!

Weird, I usually fill up 11.x gallons on 320-340 miles a tank. Sounds like you could have a dirty injector :dunno:.

Thanks for the replies... usually 220-30 till light goes on. It can be topped back off w/ ~10.5 gallons.

I didnt know LS motors self adjusted the valve leash, I seen articles on adjusting them on b18bs...? Ill replace the fuel filter soon. Should I get new injectors or clean them? If clean... how do i clean them? Just wipe'em down?
