Default Clutch Setting?

Can clutch setting be changed on hydraulic clutch system? I after refilling the Clutch fluid, the clutch pedal feels little hard to push in compared to before but it works fine...it fully extends all the way to top but i would like to know if it can be free up a bit...?

Stiff pedal, eh?
Or is the clutch engaging too "early" for your liking?

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. h:

In either event, the first thing that comes to mind is to be absolutely sure the clutch hydraulic lines are bled completely.

Acutally, its both. It engages too early and the pedal is little stiff. So, if i understand you correct, by bleeding the clutch lines, clutch will not engage too early? I would the clutch to be little bit more lazy...

No, I'm sorry...

The reason I reccomended bleeding the clutch lines is too be absolutely sure they are free of air. Air trapped in the lines could be indicative of failing master cylinder or slave cylinder piston seals. Failing piston seals could lead to the symptoms you describe. h:

When I had my clutch replaced, pedal action was a little stiff and the clutch grabbed fairly early. But by the time the clutch was "broken in", pedal feel and effort returned to normal. :dunno:

In all honesty, I wouldn't screw with it.

I don't know about hydrolic Hondas, but hydrolic Mazdas are adjustable. Check the FSM/Helm's for your car.

Clutches and hydrolics are a really touchy thing, you have to be somewhat experienced to know what's going on. An early catch and somewhat tight pedal sounds good to me, though.

Acutally, that is how it should be..."Early catch and tight pedal..." just wanted to know if hydrolic are adjustable or not. Thank you all for the input...

I think there's an adjustment nut on the piston shaft where it attaches to the clutch pedal.
