Boulder CO - Clutch Problems - Seeking Mechanic
Hey all,
I currently own a 1998 ITR and am having a problem with the clutch as of today. Im looking for a reference to a mechanic (Id rather not go to Acura... ill get raped) in the Boulder CO area. Any help would be appreciated.
As of this morning, I go to press the clutch and it goes all the way to the floor. I can barely start the car let alone shift. It kicked back in for a while, but now its going back down to the floor.
Thanks,
mp2k

Have you checked your fluid level (it's the master cylinder beside the brake master)?
Have you checked your bleeder valve on the slave cylinder (located on the front of the motor - just to the right of the rubber boot sticking out of the tranny)?
These two things will perhaps resolve your issue. The rubber boot that covers the slave cylinder piston and release fork can be removed to make sure the piston is still setting in the fork pivot too. After this - it's time for a mechanic unless you really want to spend some time...
Hope that helps, even though it doesn't involve a mechanic in Boulder. Too bad you aren't in KC
