Default Type-R pricing??

They have a yellow ITR at a local BMW dealership. One of the salesmen told me the car had a Comptech Intake, a $2100 sound system, and was babied by the 50 year old guy who owned it. They want $25000 for it. Is this a decent price?

Also, the salesmen said it was babied by some 50 year old guy and was raced at Watkins Glen a few times. I don't believe this was the only racing and mods done to the car because there are red decals in front of the front wheel wells near the ground, small Mugen stickers in the back-side windows, and a West Point sticker in the back window. Do I take their word for it or haggle down the price because I know it's been raced?

What year was it? I don't know many 50 year guys that put a $2100 sound system in their car. Expecially ones that go to the track. Sounds to me like he is trying to sell you something that has been ran pretty hard. Have a shop look at it and see what they say. Then haggle the price down.

You shouldn't be paying any more than $21k-$22k for a 2000 or a 2001 (there really isn't much if any difference in price between the years) so long as the miles are low. I paid $21,450 for mine about 6 weeks ago and this was at an Acura dealership.
