Aftermarket Sedan Exhaust = Retrofit Coupe Exhaust? IT WORKS!
I have a '95 GS-R sedan, and I love the way the Greddy Evo2 exhaust looks & sounds, but it appears that they only make it for a coupe. From what I've read, the only difference between the 2dr and 4dr is that they either extended the wheel base 2" or extended the trunk 2" and kept the wheel base the same (read each from different sources and not sure which is true).
Anyway, my question is... can I get a Coupe Evo2 exhaust and bring it to an exhaust shop and have it extended either in the straight part near the resonator (if the wheelbase is longer) or have them put in an extension before the muffler if the trunk is simply longer...? In theory, that *should* work.
I did a search and didn't see anyone talking about retrofitting a coupe exhaust onto a sedan... but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard if I don't mind having an exhaust shop weld in 2" *somewhere*....
Anyone wanna chime in?
Adam

Which one is the B-pipe?
On my other cars, I've done custom exhaust work just cause there wasn't anything that great available... if you have a good shop do it, and just paint it with some simple high-temp paint at the welds, it will last a pretty long time

Here's my suggestion:
1) Leave your header and cat as they are.
2) Then - downstream of the cat - have a flanged 2" extension fabricated from stainless steel. Get as close to the diameter of the GReddy cat-back as possible.
3) Bolt up the cat-back system as usual - you'll probably need to relocate the exhaust hanger points on the cat back to re-align with the stock mounts on the car.

It works! All of the hangers are in the exact spot they need to be! Just need to have a custom cat made up now with an extra 2" after it before the flange
So does this make me the first Sedan with a Greddy Evo2 exhaust?
