Well, the cars look completely different because the UKDM car has the four-light nose like the USDM cars instead of the JDM "Accord" nose.

Other than a few weird parts, like a UKDM header unique to that market, there isn't anything about the JDM car that'd put it ahead of a UKDM car as a possible purchase, IMHO. UKDM cars also have unique 15" wheels that look like the 16" JDM wheels, and a few interesting options like rear fog lights.

It's basically a matter of taste, I guess, but I frankly don't even like the way the JDM cars look.

B18C - JDM ITR engine code
B18C6 - UKDM ITR engine code (same horsepower, less torque)

The UKDM ITR has the foglights integrated into the front bumper, unlike anywhere else where the fogs would be installed inside the grill. The UKDM ITR's have different taillights than anywhere else...the turn signal is a clearish-red color instead of amber (US, Japan) or red (US).

Cool, so when u see the jdm exhausts etc ... does that refer to the JDM ITR or just a unique make of products?

example:-

http://www.inlinefour.com/headers.html

I heard the JDM was more powerful and comes with A/C etc ..

Anyone experienced Jap imports? any guidance?

Thanks for all you help !!!

It refers to Japanese Domestic Market products. That is to say, it refers to products which were made for the home market.

Watch for a phrase like "OEM JDM 4-1 Header" that refers specifically to a Honda-produced header for the home market, which header will produce gains on USDM cars.

The JDM B18C motors did have a little more horsepower than the USDM B18C5 motors. An OEM JDM item like the 4-1 header, especially when used with other aftermarket items as part of a package, can certainly add felt power to a USDM ITR.

Even if you just put an OEM JDM 4-1 header and an adapted converter on a USDM exhaust, you will definitely feel the difference.

This is not always true of all "JDM" products, and you should research what you're doing before you do it. A lot of "JDM" items are purchased just to make a social or fashion statement.

One thing I'd like to add when discussing things like this is that in the United States the word highlighted in your quoted sentence above is regarded as a racial pejorative.

You would, therefore, want to avoid using it in forum correspondence, if you don't mind.
