I certainly don't want to, but I will have to lock this thread if the discussion continues in that direction.
That said, carry on.

Perhaps the NHRA is your calling?
Or killing cones in the SCCA?

the bernardsville mt. or rt 22 roads near me are nice too, honestly tho you never know what you can do with your car until you autox, nothing like testing the limits of your car in a controlled environment, you dont have to be afraid of oncoming traffic, deer or sliding off the road into a curb, tree or mailbox

Speaking strictly as a fellow driving enthusiast....
My advice* is:
1) To do a sedate reconnaissance run first. Have very good maps with you, and stick to your route. Try to keep on roads with very few cross streets.
2) Never, ever speed in developed areas. One cross-street is all it takes to ruin cars and end lives. It's totally unjustifiable, and the legal implications can be tragic.
3) If deer are a hazard, then hit up AutoZone and invest in a set of the ultrasonic deer whistles that are mounted on the car. Our CHP swears by them, as do many other law enforcement agencies. I've run them on my last 2 cars. They work very well, when installed correctly.
4) And most importantly, keep your speeds reasonable and keep the car under firm control. The only place to really push the limits is on a closed track.

In other words, it is your ass on the line should you choose to engage in this potentially dangerous activity. In no way will HAN be held liable should the sh*t hit the fan. And we're dead serious about this. See the Terms of Service document for further details. Thank you and goodnight.

yea the roads there aren't bad, but yesterday i found one AWESOME mountain road up here - so good i'll be going back today to "assault" it. north-central PA is the best for mountain roads.
