Default I need help with a type-r swap into a Gsr...

I recently installed a 2000 typr r engine and trans swap into my 96 gsr. Currently the car is running but on the gsr ecu. i have the 2000 type r ecu (p73-a04) and an ingnition with the immobilizer, but when i went to plug the ecu into my existing harness, only 2 of the 3 clips fit and i dont know if those clips were even wired right.
My question is...what can i do? I can't pass smog and my car isn't running right since the gsr ecu has a code for secondaries. It works, but not like a type r should.
Can i make the 2000 ecu work, and if so how? Does anyone have wiring diagrams of the ecu connectors on a 96 gsr and a 2000 type-r?
Will an older type-r ecu (97-98) work since it wont have the immobilizer? and if so does anyone have one or know where i can get one or the wiring diagrams?

Basically i need to know which Ecu will plug into my current harness. I thought this wouldn't be so hard considering the harness that came on the engine in the swap plugged right into the existing plugs in the engine bay. However i have been talking to a lot of folks and no one can help me.

PLEASE HELP!!!

OBD-IIb (00-01) has a slightly different ECU connector than OBD-IIa (96-99) ECU's. i believe you can get an adapter???
