you might have fitment issues considering the b16 block is shorter than the b18 block

Yeah you can't use it because if you could people would just get the si mani and use that instead of paying the shop to cut and reweld the pipe.

I am almost certain that either the height of the sump [or the bolt pattern on the head] will prevent you from using a B16A2 header on B18C motor.

check out some brass gaskets. They tell you what all they will fit on. You can use that information to make a decision.

Yes, there is additional stroke on a B18C* crank when compared to a B16.

The difference in height comes from the deeper oil-pan on the B18C* motors, I think. The bigger picture is that I personally have never heard of someone successfully using a B16 header on a B18. That is enough to raise doubt in my mind. h:

Why is this even being considered though?
Why not just buy the correct header and be done with it?

¿Que?

If you're suggesting making up the difference in height w/ a stack of metal gaskets, I wouldn't do that. h: Besides needing longer studs, you're absolutely begging for exhaust leaks. It will be very hard to maintain proper clamping pressure on a 3/8" thick stack of gaskets at the head.

My best advice is to sell the B16 header and buy one that is designed for the GSR.

yeah. I don't mean stack gaskets. The best answer is really the model specific part.
