My '93 GSR shut off last week while driving - one second it was fine, next it was totally dead. No stumbling or jerking, like if the fuel pump had cut off or something. Could the FI relay cause this symptom? Where is it anyway?

I checked for any blown fuses, because it feels like an electrical issue to me, but none that I could find in the box by the passenger side shock tower under the hood and the one in the driver's kick. I replaced the ignitor with a known good one; still won't start. The car has brand new NGK blue spark plug wires too. Timing belt appears to be good; I just changed it a couple weeks ago. I took the upper plastic timing belt cover off to make sure it hadn't shredded due to my incompetence wrenching somehow.

The check engine light comes on, and then shuts off just like normal. But, the ABS dummy light stays on (which BTW I've noticed also happens if you run the engine with the alternator belt off).

Can I just swap the entire distributor with the one from my '95 GSR to see if it's within that unit (coil I guess next) rather than buying a new coil that can't be returned if it doesn't solve the problem?
