 i hope this is a joke. If it isn't you have a lot of reading to do and please do not get the valve cover that says VTEC on it. You don't have a VTEC motor. Go to www.team-integra.net. Register and read all the articles, that is all. h:

We can't cut him any slack for wanting to pose as a GSR or TypeR engine when he has an LS engine. That poser shit is just wrong on so many levels. Being new to the scene doesn't mean we wont flame him for being an idiot.

To gaminghacker: the best thing for you to do now is to go to team-integra.net as dustimis said and read everything. All the articles, as many forums as you can. When you're a noob it's best to lay low, listen to others and learn from them. You'll learn a huge amounts of information and you won't waste money on Ricer shit like Altezzas or a carbon fiber look-a-like wing. In addition, an engine isn't something you slap a turbo or supercharger on and go like it was normal. If you don't even know what VTEC is or how to spell it, I'd guess that you don't know jack about engines and what goes into forced induction (i.e. turbo and supercharger).

You've gotten off to a good start with the short ram and coming to boards to learn. Before you ask on "imput" (spelled input) on an exhaust you need to figure out what you want to do. For example, if you really are planning on doing forced induction in the future you'll want 3" piping for which you'll have to go find the manufacturers for that. If you're going for all-motor or natural aspiration, you'll want 2.25" or 2.5" piping. Why? It's all physics and exhaust theory. In addition, it depends on whether you want to keep it quiet and close to stock (in which case you'd want RS*R, Apexi WS, Greddy SP, etc) or you like it loud and throaty (where that'd be Apexi N1, Greddy Evo, 5Zigen Fireball, etc). You can't just show up and say gimme advice on an exhaust and not tell us what you want to do because it really depends.

Also, I learned all this from reading TI.net for a month before even replying to a thread. Finally, gaminghacker, please learn how to type, punctuate, spell, and capitalize correctly. People are less likely to give you advice or good advice if they can't read it. It's good to see another Integra on the boards.

As far as which forced induction setup to go with, I think the turbocharger has more potential. If you rebuild your motor to make it strong and do everything right with a good turbo setup, you can make LOTS of power. Some argue that it makes sense to get a supercharger becuase our cars already have half decent top end, 'why not give it some low end too..', but I think its better to take that top end and make it even better, and you can see alot bigger numbers this way. Anyway, when you are racing your car, you will never see low rpms after first gear. Don't get me wrong though, a good supercharged setup can be pretty powerful. If you are sure that you are going with forced induction and you are aware of how much that setup entails and costs, then go with a 3" diam. exhaust and you will be good. As others have said, type on this forum as if you were talking to someone in person, and try to make the sentences as well formed and easy to understand as you can; this way, people will be more inclined to help you out instead of just being annoyed by how messy the grammer is. go to team-integra.net and READ

Sorry About the grammer Guy's English was never a strong point. As far as the Poser Shit goes Im not looking to be a poser. Someone can tell me what I need to change to get to vtech specs. I'd Do that. Now I know you guys will laugh at me about this and ask why!!! This car is a auto I would like to get the upgrades on this car and Either Change out the the tranny. Or Get another 95 With the 5 - speed So I know your going to laugh cuz I wanna do all this to a auto... But At the time thats all I had... So In the lines of the exhaust sound goes I want it to be alittle loud but not so loud you cant talk to the person beside you.... And I will wanna put a force air induction system into this car if I can find a way to change the tranny or the next car but I wanna open this car open to help it make alittle more power but I dont wanna but 2 sets of headers and cat back systems so I wanna find a good exhaust that will handle the back pressure of a turbo down the road...... Thanks for the web site I'll get on there and do alot of reading.. And then If I have any questions I'll ask our guys help

Thanks

Ok I didn't take the time to completely translate that into English. Here goes:

1) if you want to do a VTEC head swap which would mean putting more than just the cover on. First of all you'd need to buy the valve cover, valves, rocker arms, cams, cam gears, basically everything that is above the engine block. You'd have to figure out how to make the oil drainage ports larger to accommodate the higher flow of oil in the VTEC head. There's a bunch more. Just go to any forum and do a LS/VTEC search.

2) i have an automatic teg. no one laughs at me when i school them on the autox track not even the subaru imprezas or bmw m3s. real car enthusiasts respect each other's work, dedication and commitment to their cars. hell, i've seen someone in a toyota corolla at an autox, bone stock, running the slowest times of the day. yet i respected him for his commitment and ballsy attitude.

3) if you want to switch to manual from auto, you're better off selling your current teg and getting a manual one. the manual swap is annoying and very costly.

4) forced induction on an auto is bad for the torque convertor. it wasn't meant for that much torque.

5) do a search for exhausts and talk to people you know and listen to their cars. I've listed a lot of good examples up there.

6) reread your post. It's utterly incoherent. Type slower and think before you hit the submit button.
