A/C belt

A/C belt
93 Teg LS hatchback. My A/C doesn't work and won't untill I can afford to get it replaced. Which belt do I need to remove to disengage the A/C unit?
I can see 3 hooked up on the right side of my engine when standing in front of it. Is it one of those?

the one that goes to the a/c
The a/c compressor is the thingy on the front of your motor thats attatched to the lower driver's side engine mount. Its about the size of a cantaloup and has a little pully sticking out to the right of it. Just cut/remove that belt and your a/c is unpowered.

well like I said. I can see 3. Back middle and front. The back one goes to the alternator, can see that one pretty plain. Can't quite see where the middle goes, but the front one goes to something about the size of a cantaloup... maybe I"ll cut it and see what happens :rick:

one goes to your power steering pump but the distinction should be fairly clear. Look for the front lower engine mount. Its a bracket with a little arm that reaches over to the underside of the frame on the driver's side of the engine bay... its connected to the frame via a D-shaped rubber bracket. The a/c compressor is attatched to that mount on the front of the engine.
