Default SMSP vs. Stock ITR B18C6 EUDM ITR dyno comparison *dyno plots, video* (56k)

The dyno used is a bosche dyno. The power is given in kW the conversion is kW x 1.36 = hp .

The first dyno run is a stock ITR B18C6 motor, 4-2-1 jdm header, 11.1:1 compression (EUDM ITR...) and I had the AEM underdrive pulley kit installed...

Ploted at 97 degrees.
Max horsepower at the flywheel: 1.36 x 144kW = 194.6 hp

Second dyno run with, smsp header, highflow cat (smsp), magnaflow catback (smsp). There was a comptech icebox added but with the stock airfilter.

Ploted at 77 degrees.
Max horsepower at the flywheel: 1.36 x 151.4 = 205.9 hp

Comparison charts:
Red - Stock
Blue - Modded

Torque.

Red - stock
Blue - modded

The feeling between stock and the I/H/E cat is there. The torque difference is felt. The power difference is definetly felt. I also get 3rd gear chirp sometimes!!! I honestly was expecting a higher peak value but the overall hp and torque gain is very impressive. Tell me what you think.

And a run I did against another ITR. My ITR vs. his 18" rims, intake and emptied. When I raced him with me being stock we ran the same times.

Nice numbers, but with some decent tuning, I think you'll realize significantly better gains. :goodjob:

How far are you going w/this car? Is this the only change you're making or are other changes right around the corner?

As for motor and transmission changes I'll be doing in the next few months. Up next is clutch flywheel cams and AEM EMS. Then Ill be puting in CTR pistons with crower rods and up the rev limitter to where she wants to be. I don't know if it's worth uping the compression because Im already at 11.1:1. I also want to do a port and posish job on the head, but to find someone that is promissingly good for head work like that is hard to find and trust. I might also sleeve the block. This is all very general and have rough ideas on what I'll do soon. But I'm going to take my time to make sure the set up is what is the best for what I'm looking for. All of this will be done in about a years time...

Glad you're going slow and researching.

Why AEM instead of Hondata?

I prefer having a complete change instead of an add on. Also, I know two people that are having their hondas tuned at the same tuner with the AEM EMS. I believe it would be easier because the tuner will have more experience with the software.

I'm starting to think that the stock eudm ecu is restrictive on the air/feul ratio.
