What is the best way to prevent thieves from stealing your lip kits, and BTW, i just got the Mugen Front Lip for my dc4, what rear and sides go best with that?

Torx head stainless steel bolts ... IMO, it's much less likely that a thief would carry a Torx driver set. Use some flexible epoxy to bond the lip to the bumper as well, and you should be well-defended against all but the most brazen thieves.

Park it in a garage at night. Fill screw heads with caulk or epoxy, but that would make it a lot of trouble if youever had to remove it

not that i condone this, but on the jeep forums i bunch of wrnagler guys started glue razors behind the radios, so if someone who didnt know they were back there (read: criminals) tried to grab the radio/amp/etc they soon learn it was a mistake, perhaps that is adaptable for you. but i dont know the legal implications of all of that. id rivet it down.

legal implications? Hey, they're breaking into your car, I think its ok if they hurt themselves in the process.

But yeah, those wrangler guy's are hard core.... My neighbor has a touch alarm, and a huge stick on his patio... when he hears the alarm, he goes out with his stick and chases away the theif... He's actually caught one and given him a good walluping... the cops didn't care at all. His jeep has been broken into/attempted to be broken into at least nine times in the four years I've been his neighbor :ugh:

I've always taken some silicone and dabbed it over the screw itself and the end of the screw once I had it in place. This works great cause it will help hold the screw in place and most people are not going to want to sit there and pick the silicone off of the end of the screw just to be able to steal a lip. And a lip isn't something that you yourself will probably be taking off on a regular basis but if you have to it would just take you a few extra minutes and a knife to get the screws out. Hope this helps...

You have to be careful with what you do to thiefs. Just because they are trying to steal from you doesn't mean you have the right to beat thme, kill them etc..in CA.(according to the Sac PD)
I got thrown in the back of a cop car and my gun almost got taken for holding a thief at gunpoint in my yard for breaking into my civic. The cops can be dicks about how much force you use, in my case I hadn't broke any laws and they had nothing on me. In CA, they consider property crimes non violent and minor to "Real" crimes, like shooting someone for taking your car. I've heard many stories of criminals breaking into houses and suing the homeowner for getting shot. it sucks that lawyers are willing to take cases where the criminal got what they deserved and then make the criminal the victim...
