ZE-512 ZIEX in snow?

Falken ZE-512 ZIEX in snow?
Well its time for new tires....and I'm poor.
I've been looking around for some decent all season (NOT SUMMER!) tires, since we do get a fair bit of snow up here in Rochester. I know that Dunlop SP sport 5000s are supposed to be awsome for all season tires, but I was hoping to find something cheaper.
I've done tons of searches on the Falken 512s and they seem to have good dry and wet traction from what I've read (as well as being cheap), but I have yet to see a review of how they do in the snow, does anyone else have any idea how they are?
or could you suggest another good all season tire at a good price?

If I hadn't gone to dedicated summer and winter tires I would have bought Continental ContiExtremeContact all seasons for our RSXTypeS. I based my decision on reviews and some personal contacts that had them on their cars.
Here is a page from the tirerack on them.
