Default 98+ front end conversion.

I gotta 95 integ with broken lights and front bumper cover. Someone is selling me a 98+ bumper with headlights and corners. Is it a bolt-on, do i need new hardware. If not, is it easy to install?

This thread has been repeated so many times, I can't believe I still can't remember what all is required. I know of course the bumper is needed, both headlights and both signal lights. I'm not sure on if the styrofoam guard is also needed. :dunno:

This has been covered ad infinitum. Please try out the search engine in the future..

That said, the conversion is absurdly easy. You'll need the new bumper cover (obviously), new 98+ headlights and corner light/ turn signal units. Then it's simply a matter of taking off the old and bolting on the new, reusing the OEM hardware. All that's left after that is paint and trim.

You may also want to consider swapping to a 98+ rear bumper as well. Just be sure to get a coupe bumper if you're dealing with a coupe -- or a sedan bumper if you are dealing with a sedan. A sedan bumper won't fit on a coupe, and vice versa.

And if you want to be really anal about it, the later model tailights are damned clean looking. h: :chuckles: AAR, you get the idea..

I had the same situation on my 96 GS-R... I replaced the bumper, headlights and turn signals with the 98+ parts and it looks a lot better. I also just ordered a pair of 98-01 OEM tail lights.
