Need some tail light advice for my gf's car
#11
Thanks for the replies, seems the response here with sticking with the stock lights is pretty overwhelming, lol.
As for being a ricer, Im far from it and wouldnt let her do it to the car either. Coming from the domestic crowd I see a ricer as being someone who does things to their cars to "make it look faster" when it really has no effect on performance. I.E. gauges not hooked up but mounted in the car(ive seen it), stickers all over when they dont even got the parts on the car, coffee can exhaust tips, no hub caps to make it look like a race car, things like that.
The tail lights to me dont scream ricer because there put on the car to enhance the look/appearance of the car, not to make the car faster or appear faster. I would never put them on a car like mine but on this kind of car I think they would look decent. Since Im always breaking parts on my car or doing work on it, this is the car that we usually end up driving everywhere but I dont like to drive boring cars. What are some of the other things that can be done, Ive looked both on here and on cardomain and all of the body kits are hideous, none of the wheels Ive seen have really impressed me so whats out there. Again she uses this car everyday and needs something reliable and Im not allowed to mess with the motor or anything but theres nothing wrong with making a car look good.

check this link for the tail lights with carbon fiber if you don't like boring cars. http://www.team-integra.net/images/u...Teg_3416_2.jpg. you can also get that type r wing on her car, if you don't mind people calling out poser cuz its not an itr. i think this wing is awesome but i wouldn't put it on mine bcuz my car is far from a type r, but i think it will make her car look sweet.

these lights are alright, but id recommend not getting lights at all. i had the alteezas on my integra as well, and they are aftermarket pieces of shit! the silver eventually chips away and leaves a yellowish colored plastic that TOTALLY shows. of course, it takes a while to fade away, but i say steer clear of those. my integra was silver too, and i eventually bought the ALL red alteezas, and they look badass, not to mention, even though theyve been around a while, not EVERYONE and their mom has 'em

Not only are altezzas ugly, they are crap. The price is about 1000 times what you'd expect to pay for such a low quality product. My "carbon fiber" housed altezzas (now taken out) developed a nice ring of mold around the inside that I could not clean without breaking the lights open. In addition, the inside often becomes all fogged up with condensation. Not to mention you could see the wrinkles in the "carbon fiber" shrink wrap ish. They're crap.
