Will you get a second car and have ur teg as a daily driver.
from what i heard, teg are suppose to be really reliable cars, currently have 80 k miles on it, not one single problem, running like new. probably worth $6k, insurance $60/month liability only.
I am thinking about getting a use 350z as a weekend car for 6 months only, maybe 30k miles for $22k, insurance probably $150/month,
sound reasonable? or am i am idiot that only likes to waste money... i have a garage for it.
Anyone of you have 2 cars and have teg as a daily driver?

Well, sounds like you are all like college ages here... I am 25. and i do feel that teg doesn't get much attention anymore.. am i right? maybe in high school it still does. cause i do see many high school kids checking out my car. and kept on saying nice cars and stuff.
well, my teg has only liability insurance, that is why it is only $60/month, I was on full coverage for 4 years for $200/month, if you count that right. 4 years i have overpaid 2400-720 = 1680 * 4 = $6720 , that is a lot of money.. and it was $1000 deductible. I was in couple of minor accidents, but all ended up paying it myself. But the car was worth more money 4 years ago, i had to get full coverage.(also you never know maybe i could had my car stolen and i loss everything on the car) I do live in a safe area though. now i am taking my chances.

my integra is my daily driver. To me it's the best of both worlds; it gets good gas mileage and it's fun as hell to drive. I'm 21 and I pay $620 every 6 months for both cars
Not as bad as one of my friends who pay ridiculous amount like $2100 every 6 months for a '99 Cobra w/ 3 tickets. So if your insurance payments dont' increase that much, I say go for it if you've got the means.

Insurance on my 350Z was less than my 99 gsr was. I currently own a 97 gsr and just traded in my Z for an '04 G35 coupe 6MT. As of right now my gsr sits and I drive my G35. Gas mileage is way better on my G I liked my Z there just wasn't enough room in there.
