well, people on here on other sites you tell you that you need things that you dont really need. so...its really very simple. i asked a honda mechanic who will be doing my ls/vtec. he has done over a hundred ls/vtec setups and is very well known in virginia. anyway...you will need a vtec head, whether it be b16a2 b18c1 or b18c5(make sure it comes with all the internals like cams cam gears sensors etc), you need to get your oil lines drilled and run, a matching intake manifold, throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, all necessary gaskets, ecu, hondata or vtec controller. it is recommened to replace the piston rings, water pump and timing belt, and oil pump, even though the b18b parts will still work. also, you will probably want headers, intake and exhaust, so you might as well replace these with gsr applications. however, this guy told me that my ls exhaust manifold will bolt right up to any b series head. a good deal on a head would be anywhere from 300-500. getting the oil lines run and everything put together will cost around 600-700. it is expensive and pretty unstable. but the outcome can be around 140lbs of torqueat the higher rpms and depending on if the head is built or not, you can get anywhere from around 175-200hp. good luck
