this seems to only happen when the car has been running for a while. The heater smells like a hot glue gun. Im thinking my heater core is going bad. Anyone else had this problem before? Any guesses as to what it could be? It started after the weather warmed up....but it hasnt done it since. Also an unrelated problem, yesterday my clutch stuck and i couldnt get the car into gear, but when i pulled it out it worked fine. Whats with that?

I am so pissed. 2 weeks ago i was swapping in some silverstars for my highbeams. As we all know you have to slide the coolant resevoir up and out of the way. Well I distinctly remember putting it back in but i guess i didnt push it down till it "clicked" in. So a week ago i slammed a bump pretty hard. I guess it got disloged and fell down onto the down pipe. This is what is left of it.
Needless to say its costing me 70 bucks for the resevoir, the hose and overnight shipping. Honda is so over price it pisses me off. I wish I had a Honda junkyard within 80 miles of my house.

 

Hmm... any coolant leakage from the heater core? :thinking:
Did anything crawl up in there and die recently?

Clutch-wise, I'd check fluid levels, you're probably down to the bare minimum of hydraulic fluid. h: There may also be a leak.

sorry havent replied.....inter net went down....no coolant leak that i can find and i dont think anything died in there...
