Default Rookie Report and Some Qs

I was so sad when I totalled my lovely little white 90 teg GS one month ago, I thought I would never be able to afford another one with my ridiculous salary. But, hi, who knows, here it is, parked in my lot, a 97 red RS coupe, after market spoiler and roof, american racing rims. I know I know it's a RS, but I'm happy, I got a great deal.
Now questions, I'm truly a newbie, so don't laugh:
1. I'd like to improve the perform a little, all I know is new wire set and plugs are a must, what else? Which wire and plug should I use?
2. Any suggestion about the oil? Mobil One or Honda geniuen?
Thx

one more Q:
the Maint Requ light is on, even after I press that reset button under the dash board.
anything I could do ? or I've to go to the dealer.

Use OE for both the oil and ignition. Simply the best for your situation.

And the Maint Req light is just to remind you if you haven't done your oil changes, etc yet

http://importrp.com/ sells the NGK OEM wires for ~$40 after shipping. best price i've seen. as for spark plugs, just get the NGK copper stuff.

There are so many brands to choose from. most likely it comes down to personal flavor. i like mobil one.

you dont just "press" the button. you turn the key to the "on" position. hold down the button. then turn on the car while holding down the button. the light should then stay soild, then go away.

congrats on the purchase. american racing wheels? :ugh: h:

depending on the milage, you have to do maintence on it. and make sure everything is running right.

are you interested in putting mods on the car?

Well, what's the current milage, and do you have any maintenance records from the previous owner? We can give you some advice on what to keep in mind if you can give us this.

the milage is 69000, but I don't have any maintenance records... although I can tell that girl treated the car well.
currently what I don't like are: a little bit shaky when idle... response is a little delayed in 2nd and 3rd gear.
