Default ITR ECU problem

I have a 97 ITR motor in my 94 GSR body so that leaves me a OBD2 harness. I'm tired of using chipped ECU's...I want my car at stock performance. Also, chipped ECU's are cutting off my AC switch...frustrating during this heatwave.

So do I get a OBD2 to OBD1 harness and use my stock GSR ECU which may lessen performance or how can I use an ITR ECU (do I need mods or will that hurt performance too)? For some reason, I was told I couldn't use the stock ITR ECU.

HELP!

Do you have a JDM ITR engine, or US? Did you use the 94 GSR wiring harness? (the one in the engine bay and the one that feeds into the cabin)

If you have a JDM ITR engine, you have no vtec pressure switch/solenoid. I'm not sure of the ins and outs of wiring for a JDM engine, but it does (most of the time) require some re-wiring.

If you have a USDM ITR engine.... which would be wired for obd2a, you could use a 97/98 ECU, as far as I know. But if you still have the obd1/gsr wiring... blah. See how confusing this is?

You might want to check with the hybrid/swap guys. I have some experience with this, but each wiring harness is a bit different, so there may be an easier way, or it may be harder than I just mentioned.

there's only a few minor differences between a gsr and ITR wiring harness.. the biggest being that you don't need a plug on the IM.. you can just tape it off.. and and OBD1-OBD2a conversion harness should take care of the rest..

I'm not sure how the A/C isn't working because of this stuff though.. at least not because of the ECU.. maybe you didn't hookup your A/C properly when you did the swap..?

Yes, I have a 97 JDM ITR motor in my 94 GSR body using my stock GSR wiring harness with a p28 Skunk2 chipped ECU. Sometimes it cuts off the A/C, sometimes it doesn't. But when I use my stock GSR ECU chip, A/C ALWAYS works. It's weird. I just want my car stock dammit...with everything working =D So what should I do?

want car stock? use stock parts.. ie, either GSR or ITR ECU.. Or get one custom programmed to not shut off your a/c(or ask manufacturers if theirs does, and buy one that doesn't that is pre-programmed)..
