Default Control Arm

I need to replace my right front upper control arm. Is there anything that I should know if I am going to install this myself?

ps I will be getting an alignment afterwards.

its pretty straight-forward, remove the bolts, remove the arm, replace, reinstall everything.

You have to pull the shock. Don't waste time fighting it, trying not to. At least I did and it is way easier that way.

The first link is excellent thank you!

Just to confirm though, I don't have to worry about the springs right? As in I don't need a compressor to hold them or anything, the control arm is independent of that?

Also, I'm seeing bushings there, do I need to purchase new bushings or will they come with the new control arm? I am going to be buying it from the dealership if that helps.

Ya, you don't have to remove the struts/springs.

Glad I could help.

They should come with new bushings, but even if they don't, they're not too expensive. I work at a body shop and I've had to remove a few control arms. Not too bad. Good luck with it.

Wonderful, thanks once again. I'm going to give it a go this weekend and hopefully none of the bolts are seized, I've got my fingers crossed.
