hi i just joined this club, and i got my ITR like 3 weeks ago. I was wondering how complex it is to quicken the throttle respone on an ITR. Is it a simple screwjob or does it involve alot of under the hood work?

you know how in some cars you have to push the gas pedal halfway just to rev the engine, and in sports cars you barely push the gas pedal and the engine revs to like 5000 rpm. That's what i mean about throttle quickening; making it so that it is more sensitive, like a sports car.

It's very easy. All you need are 2 small wrenches to adjust the throttle cable play. It's the 2 nuts you see right on top as the cable comes out of it's sheath before attaching to the throttlebody.

This is something that should be checked every year or so, but it normally stretches the most during the first 30k-50k. Example: My cable had 25mm of play when I bought the car with 31,000 miles (obviously had never been checked). The setting should be 10-12mm of play - WAAAAYYYY different feel.

Hope that helps.
