i have a few questions...... :wink:

question 1: I need to know EXACTLY how much the type r front lip will lower ground clearance on the front of the car. I dont want an estimate or a guess, i need exact numbers
question 2: Does anyone know of a decent HID kit for a 98-01 USDM spec integra
question 3: Will JDM stock ITR seats fit alright in a USDM? reason i ask is...the JDM seats have the seat belt buckle on opposite sides, sooo...would the seats have to be reversed (right seat on left and so on) or is that not possible? what needs to be done?
question 4: THIS IS THE IMPORTANT QUESTION!
*I am in the market for a PY 2001 ITR...i have found 2 so far. My question is this: the first one has 75k miles, but its mint and has all service records, COMPLETELY stock and never modified, original owner, all highway miles, clear title and so on. I can get it for 19k. The second is Dev's car...LOL! Now devs car has like 42k miles, BUT he has a crap load of posts up about things hes had to work on/mods/and so on...he is not the original owner, and i dont really know much else about the car (not trying to be an ass Dev, just trying to make a good decision). The question is..... What car is a better choice? is 75k too much on a 2001 ITR, or is Devs car a mistake? what does one do? :? ANY info on ANYTHING ive talked about would be more than appreciated and OH YA! BUY MY DAMN CAR!! ITS GREAT! I promise ull love it

 

I'll try...

1- Every car will have a diff hight due to sag of suspension... I don't have the measurement tho. (near 5 inches)

2- there are a few HID kits that are good, the more you spend the better they get. just be sure to get the right bulbs for the projecter beams style head lights.

3- I'm not 100%- I think you will need different seat rails/ sliders to get them in a USDM car.

4- 75k on a 01, thats a lot of miles. your gonna need to do a bunch of maintance soon and will cost $$$
Maybe you want to shop around for other Rs ??? I would not rush into anything that costs this much.

 

I think as basso said if you wait you can get a lower milage R for $19K
less than 50k for sure. as far as the seats go there are a few people on here with the jdm recaros if you search maybe you can find one and ask them. I remember a black R with yellow recaros it looked great!

 

I'm looking for an ITR in the Boston area as well and I just want to caution you that there recently was a black 2001 for sale at the Acura dealership in Peabody with 50k miles. I didn't get up there fast enough and it sold for $23k. It would seem that $19k is actually a fair price for the one you're talking about with 75k miles. Actually, do you have the contact info for the one you're talking about? I may be interested!

i dont think you understood what i asked... i have a lowered GSR and if i cant find an R very soon, im gonna keep the GSR and make it pimp. I wanted to know how much LOWER my car will be with the type r front lip, lower than it is already, all i want to know is how much the lip drops the car, doesnt matter on my suspension or whatever, because my suspension doesnt magically change the lip and make it bigger, lol. So if my car is 4 inches from ground now, what will it be with the lip? thanks
