I shift around 4000 in normal daily driving. but since i only drive once a week i run it through the gears at least once on that day i.e take it to
8000 in first and second.

there is no need to shift at 6000 rpm for daily driver, that burns so much gas. do u have synethic oil in your engine?

You shift when the seat of your pants and your ears (and brain) tell you to. Honestly, I rarely look at my tach unless I'm really getting on it, getting past 7K or so.

my usual daily driving rutine:
1st gear: 4,500
2nd gear: 5,000
3rd: 4,000
4th: 4,000

anywhere between: 3,800-5,500 daily...

my moto: If you hit VTEC you might as well take it to fuel cut.

I shift all over the place, I'm never going slow but sometimes I do shift early when going fast and sometimes I shift high when I'm going slow...

Dyno'd my car a while back and I took it to 8600 rpms... Overall peak power on my car at the time (stock R) was at 8100rpms, then from 8100-8600rpms hp died off 3-4-5 hp or so.

In town on the everyday drive, I usually granny shift it from 3-4000 rpms usually. (switched from the Apexi WS to the Apexi N1 now, so any higher RPM's and it'd wake up the dead.)
