Hi all,
I have just bought my self a '98 uk spec Integra Type R. Well i have had it 6 weeks now. And i must say that it is the best car that i have ever been in let aloan driven. The fun factor is massive i am sure will all will agree.

This seems to be a very good and well laid out forum, good work!

I bought my car for £8400 w/c 52 000 miles, it has a full dealer service history and is in really good condition.

I am not really looking to do much to the car at the moment in the way of modifications. Just on thing really and that is to change the rubber fleix brake lines to steel. I know that the brakes on the itr are really good but always can get better... so i can out brake all them wrx's.

Any of you guys/gals have done this and if so how many fleix lines are there on the itr and which are the best to go for.

thanks very much...

Goodridge or Techno-fit are the 2 majors. Both are great quality & will serve you fine. There are only 4 total lines - 1 for each wheel.

Cheers Budman.

I heard that some cars have more, extra one that run around or throught the chassis legs and what not. I was told that the Ford Escort Cosworth has 8 lines. Stuff doing that job. changing out 8 lines... no thanks.
but anyway, thanks. i will look into those names and i will beable to order some up..

Hello and welcome to ITRCA.

I have the Goodridge SS lines in my caR along with Axxis Ulitimate brake pads and ATE Blue brake fluid and I have such a great pedal with awsome feedback.

I do reccomend the SS lines, but only after you have been to the track a few times to learn the stock brake system. The stock system is great for beginners but after you learn the caR you will need to upgrade to atleast what I have.

Good luck and keep your caR safe.

If you decide to get them, see the above. However, I must state that lines will increase braking FEEL. Nothing else on the street. Make sure you check them to ensure that the SS braid is not fraying. Honda rubber lines are very good and IMO do not need to be replaced.
