I daily drive a 03 si and drive the R two days a week (tell my lease ends on the si) and the si is nice and comfy and quite and all but I took the R out today and ran it through the gears a few times and its just so exhilarating! I have only had it for 13 days so its still so new to me but remember back when you folks got your R... I mean I had a 00 si which
is no slouch but like you all said here its a way different animal. I love the
power but I truly love the handling thats where this car shines brightly.
I came out onto a road and excellerated out and to the right and felt the
tires spinning but pulling me forward with total control. That limited slip
differential really makes a difference! I find myself being tempted often
to drive her and get better at driving so I can use it to its full potential.
its like a drug I cant get enough!

i drive my ITR everyday and it still sends shivers down my spine and i find myself screaming to myself OOOOHHHHHHH YYYYYEEEHH everytime i blast out the twisties wiht perfect control or hear the engine scream as i hammer her down the straight.

My bro has a 12 second 13BT and he also cant get the smile off his face when he steps out after a spin in the ITR, even though its 2 1/2 secs slower down the quarter.

Its just an awsome drive, fuck all the power hungry straight line wanna be's, if your real driver that loves driving, the the ITR is hard to pas.

I bought my '98 new and STILL get a charge out of it - it's my daily driver - it makes that drive to & from work something to look forward to. It's totally stock, and therefore has that perfect balance that I feel only the factory version has.
I have at times thought, 'it'd be neat to have an old Alfa coupe, or an old 911S, or 2002tii, 280SL, Z28, Ford Cortina or Capri, Audi Coupe.....you name it, the list is long; but the current Type R IS the modern version of these classics, and actually is a better car than any of them. And WE have one!
