Ok.... my 2000 Type R has only 42000 miles on it, but some how I have a wonderful sounding knock coming from around #4. Has anyone heard of this happening before :?: [/quote]

Spun bearings is a lot of the time a lack of oil. DId you run the car low on oil or have moderate levels of oil and take hard repetitive turns?

Hard repetitive turns yes, low oil, absolutly not. however, after the problem is corrected I plan to get a baffeled oil pan... do these actualy do any good?

Baffled pans make a huge difference.

I spun #3 rod bearing in my motor at the track with a full crankcase of oil.

If you run at the track - you should use a baffled pan period

You might have bent a connecting rod, OR STRESSED it out. Be careful on your next move. Let a professional look at your motor.
