has anyone bought a type r at a dealership that was not new? if so how much did you spend, what year, and how long did it take?

Dealerships can and will rip you off for a Type R. I saw a 01' FBP w/ 30 K for $26,995 and it sold within a few days. I feel bad for the moron who bought a 3 yr old vehicle w/ 30K for $2,000 over sticker.

i bought mine a year ago tomorrow at a dealership in westchester, ny ( a very expensive area) its a 2000 PY and had 9000 miles on it. I paid $21k even


at another dealer down the street there was one with twice the mileage that sold for $29k

I bought mine July of last year from David McDavid Acura in Plano (rich suburb of Dallas) and paid $21,450 for a 2000 PY w/ 27k miles on it. A bit more than I wanted to pay for one but my credit wasn't good enough to qualify for a private party loan.

Funny part was that it was at one of their Lincoln used car lots and wouldn't sell over there so they transferred it to the Acura dealership where it sat for another month or two because they wouldn't budge on that price :P I guess it took a real fool who was set on getting a Type R to buy it ops:

Just because it was gone in a couple of days doesn't mean that's the money the purchaser spent.

I got mine 2.5 yrs ago. 1997 with 60K. PAID $11,800. Financed $10,200

I must ad I worked there at the time.... ( in sales :wink: )

I found a PY R in a mini dealership in Ramsey, NJ last winter, 27k miles for $28,900... wow

yeah yo thats the one i was talking about that cost wayyyy more than mine. that dealer is right by my house.

i got mine from Geis in Peekskill.
