any FREE or really cheap power increasing mods for the ITR ???

She wouldn't be a Type R if Honda hadn't maxed out every significant power gain out of the drivetrain, now would she? 
The cheapest mod I can think of for her is maybe to remove the cover off the stock airbox but that's not gonna do much for ya. A cold-air intake such as AEM or Comptech Icebox will give you a 4 or 5 hp gain to the wheels but other than that, look to spend some $$
