My ITR tranny is making some strange noises (like the gearbox in an old truck or bus under load - lots of gear whine). It occurs mostly when the car is in gear and under load (accelerating or decelerating) but can be heard more faintly when just in gear (even with clutch depressed). Only goes away when in neutral and clutch is depressed.

Looking for possible recommendations for qualified folks to rebuild her as I expect it's not going to be long before it fails or I can't deal with the noise any longer. I'm in the Cincinnati, Ohio area so something close to that area would be ideal.

the FL/NC We Todd crew is who I'd suggest, but I'm biased :P

dunno who in Ohio, but do NOT take it to Godspeed, that's for sure.

I might have too. Does anyone have contact information for P1? I did a quick google search and could find them on the web.

In the mean time you might want to drain your Fluid and replace it with 3 quarts of fluid rather than the 2.3 that is called for in the maintainance book. But Use Honda MTF and LUCAS transmission oil 2/3rds Honda MTF and 1/3 Lucas
I had the same problem in my tranny and I put this in and it went away
