There were 500 in 97 and 1250 in 98.

Interesting....if there were only 1023 produced in 98...why do I have 1162? :?

 

There were at leat 1095 cause I saw it last weekend at an Auto-X. I did post that letter and to me that means we still have no good answers.

There were at least 500 in 97 and I would say 1250 for 98 is a good guess. THere were MORE than 1500 in 2000/2001 cause I have seen 1525 . . .

 

To add even more confusion, I found a copy of the certificate of authenticity some owners got in 1997.

"Congratulations. You are the owner of a rare, race-inspired sports car, representing the pennacle of performance and technology. Each 1997 Integra Type R is personally certified as one of just 480 units available in North America this year. We're confident that you will have the same passion for owning and driving as we had creating it."

WTDR seems to be down right now, I will post the certificate later on.

What else is out there indicating possible production numbers? Trey, have you seen any other letters from Acura?
