I am looking to order a Helms manual for the 97 ITR and I wanna make sure to order the right one(I think most people say to order the 98, but need to double check)....here are the options:

61ST702 1996-97 Integra Service Manual(all)
E1400 1997 Integra Type R-Technician Guide(video)
61ST704 1997 Integra Type R Service Manual Supplement

61ST705 1998 Integra Service Manual(all)

The 97 and 98 are the same price($62), but I think the 98 has the Type R supplement included. Can anybody back me up here? Is there anything worthwile in the 97 that I would miss in the 98? FYI: The 97 Type R supplement is $35. Is there a newer version that is even better...say a 2000 or 2001?

How about the technician orientation video...anybody have that? I think it would be something neat to have...anybody watched it? How long is it?

Here is a long shot....I have a nice "electronic back-up" copy of the service manuals for the NSX and CRX...this is nice when you want to print out a couple of pages and get them dirty instead of getting oil all over your nice book and having some stuff being non-readable...anybody managed to scan the manual and put it on the internet?
Thanks for all of you guys help!

Since you have a '97, I'd get '96 Service manual and '97 typeR supplement. The reason is that '97 have a few things different from '98+ (mostly cosmetic) and would suck to use '98 service manual, only to find out that it's not covered.

I have '01 R and '98 service manual covers everything for me. (no supplement needed).

Sean - do you know what's in the supplement? I've got my 98 manual and it's most excellent.

Sean, I thought yours was an LS

A couple of years ago I did a lot of research, after attempting to purchase a 98(yeah, the one I bought and it was totaled the day before my flight left to pick it up), and I think I Helm just incorporated the Type R supplement into the 98 manual. Don't quote me on that because that was a while back and I kinda hated ITRs after that experience! So a 98 should have everything the 97 Type R supplement had in it...now I just got to figure out if there is anything different in the 97 from the 98 that is worth $35! You never know so why risk it?

Yes, '98+ Helm manual has everything for typeR's. But, for '97 ITR, I'd go w/ '96 Integra manual + '97 ITR supplement.
