most quiet exaust (ignore other one)
looking for a new exaust system, mostly for performance. I dont wnat a loud one, but i am fine if it is slightly louder at the higher rpms (around 6000). I wnat one that is barely noticeable at the lower cruisin rpms, but i dont want to sacrifice power. Anybody know of an exaust system tha will do this? or am i dreamin

Add the Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion, and DC Sports to the list.
The two quietest ones are the RS*R Exmag and A'PEXi WS. Personally I'm partial to stainless pipes which the WS doesn't have so of those two I'd get the Exmag.
The GReddy, Tanabe, Comptech and DC are all full stainless and slightly more noticeable sounding but still quite pleasant imho.

i have the greddy evo 2 and i love it, not much sound when your in the low rpms and are just cruisin but, if you reef down on the gas it gets a little more noticable and when you hit vtech it is a nice deep sound....i just threw some greddy stainles headers on also and it added a nice slightly mild but deeper sound to the exhaust....

Mugen Twin Loop is ridiculously quiet around town and even when on the gas pretty hard.
Obviously, like an aftermarket exhaust, it makes some noise when in the upper RPM ranges... but comparitively, its quite quiet.

I'll give a vote for the Mugen Twin Loop as well. If you have the cash to spend...go for it.
The Twin Loop gets even quieter after a turbo is slapped on. h:

I have an ITR catback on my LS and is only noticably louder at higher RPM's. It also has a stock look, so I won't draw any attention. The only drawback is that its a chambered muffler, so it isn't as free flowing. You're not going to lose any power over stock, but you just wont gain as much.
Twin Loop designs are also very quiet. If you dont want to fork out money for a Mugen Twin loop, OBX makes a universal copy of the twin loop. You can buy it for about $100, without hangers. Hytech also sells a twin loop axleback for about $300.
