Default rear main seal leak

I began leaking oil after i took my car to the shop to get my oil changed it was too cold to do it myself outside. This is the second car that this has happened to, me taking it to get changed and the same night it leaking first it was the crank seal on the del sol and now the rear main seal on the GSR. My mechanic said that it was ok to drive the car but as little as possible but on the way home from school I was in 5th gear and at about 55mph it started popping out of gear. Everytime I put it in it came out within a minute could this be from lack of pressure b/c of the seal leaking or do I get to get the pleasure of buying a new tranny????

Lack of oil in the engine shouldn't cause your tranny to do that. Check if it's really the rear main seal leaking... Maybe it's the transmission input shaft seal? When's the last time you checked your transmission oil level?
