Well brown isnt really the ideal color.

Also, see how you can see each "bump"? The belt is worn enough that from the top you can see each individual bump clearly...thats a sign of wear as well. Maybe not enough to demand an immediate replacement, but enough to show that its seen some time.

If you compare the preventative costs to having to repair a Honda engine after a timing belt failure... Yeah... if in doubt, just replace it

Since you are going to take apart might as well go a few more steps and replace the seals.

oh and by the way, replace it. factory recommends replacing it at 105,000. now thats a little soon. but it does look worn from what i've seen at my shop and what yours looks like.

Well guys i love this site first off :P you guys perswaded me into getting my timeing belt replaced faster then what was on my list :P althought i did need to replace the clutch first.... cant drive with no clutch :P i checked the timeing belt while i had that shiz off and it looked bad so ive been babbieing it, maybe i should replace it huh :\ i see a small starting of a crack :P, have to save though :\ resently got my car broken into and i just got the damn thing :P had to get window and alarm :\ 600 bucks in total no radio is a drag but i guess i can listen to the engine a little longer and just get the timeing belt lol,

Make that 8 times out of 10 I've had mine slip without damage but I would also agree that not changing it is asking for rouble. Timing belt isn;'t a part to be neglected.

Factory timing belt recommendation for an Integra is 90,000 not 105,000 miles

actually, in my owners manual...it says 105,000. man, i really wish i had a scanner to prove it. do you really think i would make a number up like that?

I have no idea what you would do. Some Preludes have that interval but all G3 integras I am aware of have a 90K service interval.
