94 Integra Instrument Panel Bulb Replacement
I originally posted this in the DIY forum but didn't get any responses.
----------
I think that one of the bulbs is out on my 94 Integra. The left side of the instrument panel doesn't light up. All the warning lights come on fine when the car starts and I checked all the fuses. Its not a big deal, I just can't read the temperature gauge at night.
From what I understand, there are three bulbs behind the panel. For those of you who have taken apart the panel before, are there any things that I need to be aware of that would make the replacement easier? Do I have to do anything to disable the SRS system while I'm working on the panel?
I haven't gone to the dealer to get the bulb yet. I'm assuming that it shouldn't be too expensive, so I'll probably replace all of them while I have the panel open.

It's rediculously easy. Another Dave - not me - has the perfect webpage for your question. Here's the link. It shows step by step how to replace the bulbs.
Let me repeat..just so we're clear: I did not author this webpage. ->>http://www.geocities.com/mt3c/DIY_Amber_GC.html

Its easy, I changed out the ugly green bulbs and replaced them with red bulbs and they look great when on.
Just unscrew the two screws and pull out the cluster, then you will see 3 black things, pull them out and just head down to autozone and buy the bulbs. They cost about 3 bux and you have to buy two packs of two. Best thing they sell every color (green, red, blue, etc...)

Thanks for the link to the website for “the other David”. Yes, replacing the instrument panel bulbs was ridiculously easy. I just used stock bulbs.
I also picked up a set of replacement bulbs for my climate control unit. I had two bulbs burnt out (illumination, all indicator bulbs were fine) however I replaced all four while I had the climate control unit out of the dash. I also got a bulb for the rear defogger switch (again, illumination bulb only, the indicator bulb was fine). I was a bit worried about breaking the plastic when prying out the hazard and defogger switches, but luckily I didn’t have any problems.
A lot of bulbs to replace, but after 10 years and over 250K miles, that is to be expected.
As an additional resource to Dave’s site, here are some pages from the 94 Integra FSM…

By the way, if anyone is interested in the stock bulbs, here are the part numbers and prices…
Instrument Panel Bulb 37238-ST7-003 ($4.34)
Climate Control Illumination Bulb 34354-SBO-003 ($4.34)
Rear Defogger Switch Illumination Bulb 35511-SM4-000 ($7.24)
