well this is my 3rd honda. So far i have purchased a real spoon shift knob and real oem jdm itr shift boot.Im going too be getting a full itr head over the summer for ls/vtec.Also will over bore the engine and run honda over bored ctr pistons. Also before im gonna lower probably on eibach prok-kit too maintain a stock ride, and rota circuit 8's in steel grey.Maybe a jdm front in the future, not sure.I will also do the boltons before the head swap.Jdm dc 4-1,2.5 high-flow cat,10 pound straight exhaust system, and aem v2 most likely.Probably gonna remove ac and other little things for weight purposes. The car is immaculate for the year, and if it is in fact a new engine i will be even more happy for my 4500 dollar purchase!

good luck with the Ls/vtec. I did it and dumped about $5,000 into the motor and I only ran in the 14's. ran a high 13.98 once. ofcourse nonturbo with street tires. now I got a b20vtec that put me in the high 12's. still non turbo.

good luck again

how come you got only in the 14's?I would think i will be able too hit a 12 at least. My motor will be a 2.0 liter b18b bored out. What was your compression ratio? What pistons did you use?Head? And most importantly what tranny? The ls tranny has long gears, great for turbo but not for all motor.I have a friend with a ls 98 with just i/h/e/t/c and itr tranny and hit a 14.3 .Also has weight reduction, but not stripped.Seems weird you only got into 14's and high 13's.Not too bad though

I used a Port-and-polished B16 head with a 3 angle vavle job (that doesn't do crap).
I bolted it on my stock ls bottom end and it dynoed at only 175 hp at 7400 rpm. so that right there pissed me off. that i only gained 30 hp after a week of tweak and tuning and almost 1500 dollars spent. so then i went with ctr pistons, crowler straight high compression h rods, and honed out the cylinder. dyno read 192 hp at 7500 rpm. i bought crowler cams, titanium valves ( like an idiot), with retainers and keepers, and dynoed again at 196 whp at 7500. oh, i forgot, I had headers, intake, the basic boltons at the time as well as 93 octane fuel. by this time i was running around 14.8's 14'9's. then I got a MSD ignition control, air/fuel controller with manuel fuel regulator, vtec controller, 2 stage colder spark plugs (NGK), and advanced the spark about 2 degrees, with a small 50 shot of the NOS system, and dynoed at 214 whp at 7500 rpm. and thats when i ran my only 13.98 at 105 mph. Oh i wasn't using C/16 fuel during my dyno, but i did at the track.

If your friend is pulling them numbers then more power to him. My Ls stock ran 16.9 fastest run. oh and all that up there does not include the frame work.

hey thanks man,
wow you should have been getting into 13's or so with 190'ish hp all-motor.I bet you were using the stock ls trans. That makes all the difference in the world.Well im rethinking my route,i wanna be different. My engine is brand new and my tranny is strong as hell, ill prolly get a b16 tranny when mine goes in the future.Im also thinking about running p30 pistons,ls head full port & polished,404 cams, full crower valvetrain,i/h/e,2 layer head gasket, aem cam gears, crank pulley, and tuning.Should get around 170 hp or so.Should be pretty nice for non vtec
