The mystery continues
So today I pulled my transmission. I am having an engine shaking feeling when getting on and foff the gas and we cannot pin down the cause. Motor mounts are not the prolem because these have been changed out (ruled out). From there it is anyone's guess.
I have an ATS FD, Fidanza Flywheel, ACT HD/SS kit and Synchromesh Fluid. I know 2 other people with the problem and the one and only commo denominator is the fluid so we are changing back to Honda MTF to see if this somehow unexplainable to us fixes the problem.
As an additional possibility I wanted to inspecdt my clutch disk springs and such. We pulled the tranny today and what I found was that the oil pan gasket was leaking behind the flywheel and had gotten on the flywheel and disc. It has created hot spots and ruined the surface on my fidanza flywheel so in a last minute effort to keep the car on the road the car got a slightly used (and highly inspected) JDM ITR OEM clutch disc and PP and my stock flywheel.
This change did not fix my problem but one other person that had the synchromesh says it took a few days to feel the new fluid begin to resolve the issue. We shall see if this helps but I am skeptical.
Regardless this being the 4th time I have removed this transmission I am looking at a 5th time very soon to put back my flywheel and put in a new clutch kit.
Oh well . . .

My rear main seal leaks...left hot spots all over my flywheel too. It's a good thing you fixed that leak, it eventually caused one of the springs on my pressure plate to pop; therefore, leaving me stranded one night at a red light...not fun.
Crazy thought...do you have another itr...or even gsr trans spare (as in, a shop or something that could let you try it out)...just to see if the trans has a problem or not. I'm just thinking of elimination steps here.
