other people here are more knowledgable, but just save up alittle more and go with the full exhaust/cat back to draw the full potential out of your other bolt ons, and make shure it'll all fit together and you should be satisfied.
good call on the comptech header. hope it helps i'm learning here too.

given that it's a '95, it's quite possible that the cat is clogged or getting there, subsequently robbing you of some or a lot of horsepower. if that's the case, clearly replacing the cat would show you more gains. however, i don't know if there's any real way to tell without tearing open the cat. also, replacing the cat and retaining the stock cat-back might just result in little gain, assuming the original cat is ok.

that said, is there any possibility that you can do both?

I would check into a High Flow cat First, becuase if your cat is clooged an header is not going to do much for you.

Getting a custom exhaust will save you big bucks,so just go buy a muffler and get custom pipes done....as for the cat get a high flow cat and you will be set

I was never a big fan of a universal muffler and custom piping setup. The way I see it, is that company's like Apexi, Greedy, HKS, etc... actually put time and research into there Cat Back systems and trust there systems that they would put the company’s name or logo on the muffler itself. Unlike some muffler shop that will give you 2 1/2 inch piping and a welded on muffler in a few hours or so. True it’s cheaper, but you never know what you’re getting or how it will sound

Just my thought
