Default Keyless Entry Problem after installing Head Unit

I installed my head unit out of my Civic into my 99 Integra GSR.

I have some aftermarket keyless entry system. After I put in the new head unit my keyless ceased to work.

The kill switch works, so that I have to disarm it before it will start.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Nothing specifically links a Radio and security systemn in a 99 GSR like in a 96+ Civic. I'd look for loose wires or something that came unplugged. Who put in the alarm? Warranty on thr alarm work?

It was installed when I bought the car. The only wire that I didn't connect on the harness was the power antenna. Everything else is connected. I'm going to maybe look for a fuse :dunno:.

like asahi, the integs did not have the factory alarm integrated into the HU
there should not be any wires for the alarm exposed when changing out the HU, but you never know...your probably gonna want to get under the dash and check the wiring to make sure nothing has come loose

chance what kind of alarm is on there?

Aaron, it's more or less just like a OEM system. On the remote it says, "SVSS." It locks/unlocks the doors and kills the ignition.

Need more info...I could tell you what the problem is if you were nearby since I work part-time in mobile electronics anyway.

Stupid question, but thought I'd ask anyway...did you check all of your fuses? Including the inline ones by the alarm brain? Typically, when stuff happens when someone is installing a headunit, they blow a fuse somewhere. It happens all the time, that's why we have so many extra fuses in our bay.

Odd, I followed my status light (the blinking light for your alarm) to a group of ziptied wires. I followed these to a fuse below a box, they stuffed it damn good above my fuses. I pulled this fuse out and looked at it and it looked fine, I put it back in and sat and thought about it for a second.

Then I decided what the hell, and hit the button, it worked :eek3:.
