Well...my car was 3rd gear runs, no tuning at the time though. Maybe that's why...I have no reason to fib about numbers.

Regardless of gear, it won't affect it that much. I know people that do 3rd and 4th gear pulls to compare, and the difference is minimal. Not that I'm advocating one over the other, just stating.

 

As stated here, you'll definitely want to dyno in 4th for tuning since it offers a 1:1 ratio (or very close to it).

 

cheez I didn't mean to call you a finber. I was more insinuating that there are lots of factors that can affect the numbers., Anything can be overstated based on all the variable.

That said area under the curve is way more important than a peak number. I'd take 15 hp at 5000 rpms than 20 hp that didn't come in till 8000 roms.
