Dynoed my GSR motor
#13
Numbers are good for what it has. When my 95 GSR hit 100k miles, I put down 160 whp and 120 lb. tq...w/only an intake. So, I believe those numbers are possible. Can you post a chart, I'd like to see the curve since that is more important.

This is the best i can do since the viewer i use doesnt allow me to save the whole picture, i can take a picture of the screen.

fairly consistant powerband all the way through...kinda suprising you don't even see any sort of spike when you hit vtec though

You can't tell cause there is no axis label either place. That could be 6000-8000 rpms only. If you can take a screen shot (alt+prtin screen) then you can post a file of the whole thing. If you have the dyno run files you can pull down the dynojet viewer and overlay any run you like.
160 with an Intake only is just about an absurd statement. A GSR on a dynojet stock makes about 140 whp. That is a modest 18% drivetrain loss. Figure 10 whp from an Intake (CAI: AEM, Iceman . . ) then you get to 150. To get 160 at the wheels you would have to be making 25 more hp than stock at the crank off just an intake. Like I said above unlikely. Tune maybe but still unlikely. I have seen some Type-Rs make only 163-164 with an Intake.
One thing to make clear is what type of Dyno you ran on. A DynoJet and Dynapack run MUCH higher numbers while a Mustang Dyno will show much lower numbers. This means nothing except that the numbers are not comparable. Most people speak in Dynojet numbers so if you dyno'd on something else that info woudl help.

From the last dyno in october there is a 2lb loss or torque which may have come from the install of the larger header and cat, but its not a huge loss so it really could have been something like the car not being cool enough.

150 on a Mustang Dyno is pretty high as well. Can anyone get the actual dynorun files? We can overlay them and compare them to other cars that way. Also anyone doing runs in 3rd gear is artifically pumping dyno numbers. This works on some cars and isn't indicative of the actual power. Not accusing anyone just saying peak means very little regardless but especially when you do things like run in 3rd gear or pull a power steering belt you use daily.
