About the motor, Is it safe for the motor to just sit on the ground? Because I dont have anything to hoist it up, its just laying on the groudn right now with the heads off, the valves look REALLY burnt, but i think that may just be normal, but the pistons has indents on it from the valves, it looks like they've been hitting or something, and cylinder 3 looks really clean, I think the head gasket is blown and it was burning coolant or something. I wish I knew more about the history of this motor, but its too late to do anything..
It's generally not good, you might need to get a new oil pan. And as for the dents in the pistons, they're supposed to be there to let the valves open and close, it's perfectly normal. Can't really say much more without seeing the engine

be sure to atleast pull the head and replace the valve guides and bead blast the head. a machine shop will do this before they work on it. also get them to check and see if your valve pleums are turning. if they are get the machine shop to take that edge down. remember if you are going to be taking the valves out the easiest way to do it is not with a spring compressor, its with a socket and an extention. take the socket and extention, place the socket on the valve retainer, take a hammer and give it a firm hit. the keepers pop out and voila.
