I have a bone stock 93 ls hatchback. I'm new to the scene and want to know if y'all got some idea to make her run smoother and of course, a bit faster.

welcome noob. h:

First thing, and I am assuming your car is stock, is some nice ultra high performance summer tires (depending on where you live). I would go to www.tirerack.com and read reviews and compare prices. Off the top of my head, I can recommend Yokohama AVS-Intermediate for the stock Integra wheels because I had these on my 1990 Integra and I loved them. :yay:

The first thing to do is make sure that all of the scheduled maintenance is up to date and that everything else with the car is in good working order. There are a number of shops (at least in the area I'm from) that specialize in Honda and Acura products and will do a nice comprehensive inspection of the car to let you know what, if any, issues there are with it.

Once the regular maintenance is taken care of, the first thing to do in terms of making it drive nicely is to replace the tires because they will most likely be pieces of shit. This could also include wheels if you want to go that route, but there are a few performance tires available in the stock 195/60-14 size. Unfortunately the Yokohama AVS-i has been discontinued for a few years now. It has been replaced by the AVS ES100 which is pretty much superior in all aspects and is available in that size. Another option is the Falken Azenis which is a much more aggressive tire. Stepping up to even 15" wheels gets you a much larger selection of tires.

From there, you can choose to upgrade the engine, suspension, brakes, or all three. There are a ton of threads here about these types of subjects. Your best bet is to read through threads here, use the search function, and then once you have specific questions in mind post them.

this might sound a little ricy, but a intake makes a pretty good diference, plus it takes about 20 minutes to put on, well five actually. you will be suprised. Get some nice lowering springs such as tein, skunk2,eibach ect. Stay away from the cheap ones. If you get a exhaust, try to get a greddy, thats about it, other exhaust are quiet, but if you have a vette, you probably hate that weed wacker sound, and greddy is very quiet. So are dc sports, and thermal. But get a greddy. Oh yeah get a strut bar, cause it makes the car alot more stable at 80mph on the highway when you go over bumps. They are pretty cheap, starting at 30 bucks, but a tune up is first, and watch the miles, cause a broken timimg belt, could mean your engine
