For me a GSR was $4 more per month than a Civic EX, so it shouldn't be a big deal from a GS to GSR. That was at age 18.
At 18 you were probably still living at home on your parents insurance going to school. It doesn't matter where you live in the country because a GSR is always going to be classified as a sports car while a Civic EX will be a normal compact. The difference for anyone on their own policy not going to high school with full coverage (or just liability) is going to be more than 4 dollars. There is a huge difference. I think your numbers are wrong on that one.
